Award-Winning Tru-Point Showcased in Global Finals
Lyon, France – Oct. 7, 2024 – John Bean® had several of its products, including the award-winning Tru-Point™ advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) calibration system, featured in the competition at the recent WorldSkills Lyon 2024 event held at the Eurexpo Lyon in France. John Bean was supporting Skill 33-Automotive Technology, which featured 36 competitors from five continents.
“We are honored that innovative John Bean equipment, such as Tru-Point, was included in the competition at WorldSkills,” said Roger Marti, senior director product management for Snap-on Equipment. “It was a great opportunity to share these industry-leading repair solutions with the next generation of automotive service professionals and demonstrate how John Bean enhances shop productivity and efficiency.”
A one-stop solution for ADAS calibration, Tru-Point uses highly accurate advanced camera technology, targets and top-of-the-line software to quickly uncover core ADAS-specific vehicle alignment issues, enabling users to perform precise ADAS calibrations. Tru-Point performs a check of the ADAS-related wheel alignment values and closely monitors each step of the setup procedure, ensuring that OEM safety specifications are met before an ADAS calibration is performed.
Two additional John Bean products were part of the competition: the 4-Post JLF 4000 lift and the V2380 imaging diagnostic wheel alignment system. The JLF 4000 lift provides a lifting capacity of 4,000 kg for wheel alignment of passenger cars, SUVs and transporters up to mid-size vans with a wheelbase range of 193-415 cm. The John Bean V2380 features a classic post and beam design and offers users productivity-boosting technology to give them the edge in performing efficient wheel alignment services.
